Instant Pot Indian Aloo Palak | Potato Spinach Curry




Spinach, one bunch, chopped.

Potatoes, 5 small diced

Onion, half, diced

Mustard Seeds, 1/2 tbsp

Cumin seeds, 1/2 tbsp

Chana daal, 1 tbsp

Urad daal, 1 tbsp

Red chilli,2 tbsp

Corriander powder, 2 tbsp

Turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon

Salt, as per taste oil, 5 tbsp




1.Turn on Saute mode, and add oil.

2.Once the oil is hot, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chana daal and urad daal. Saute them for a minute.

3.Add onions and turmeric. Give it a stir and wait for a few minutes.

4.Add potatoes, and saute for a minute

5.Add red chilli powder and corriander powder and salt. Give it stir.

6.Add Spinach and give it a good stir.

7.Add a cup of water.

8.Switch to Manual mode, and adjust the timer to 8 minutes.Make sure whistle is in sealing mode.

9.Do a QR and open the lid. 10.Turn on Saute mode and let it simmer.Once it reaches the desired consistency, switch off the IP.


Serve Hot! Serves 4 adults! ***********************************************************************
